Welcome to the Min-Hyun Kim Lab at Arizona State University
Our research is focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying obesity and metabolic syndrome. Specifically, we investigate how diet changes epigenetic phenomena (e.g. Histone modification, DNA methylation), thereby regulating the expression of genes associated with body weight regulation and energy metabolism. Our goal is to develop pharmaceutical and nutritional strategies for the prevention and treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes.
